» Retikare-White LED Light Source, which is offered as best bright pure white light for Ophthalmic medical illumination. This light is offered with a first of its kind White Cold Light, which is manufactured using technologically advanced imported components and raw materials.

» This LED light source is the most suitable alternative for halogen and xenon light sources that hold no option of bulb replacement.

» Further, these are coupled with fiber optic cables and hence achieve better white light than conventional xenon. Moreover, the white light, is a cold light and hence require very minimal cooling while rendering no damage to the fiber used in ophthalmic Surgeries.

COMPARISON BETWEEN HALOGEN, XENON AND LED LIGHT SOURCE

Heat:

Xenon and halogen light source works on 24 volts (some Chinese light sources are working on even more voltage like 50v or 100 v resulting in huge amount of heat produced). This higher voltage increase the temperature of the lamp as well as the fiber optic connected to it. This results in higher level of heat at the tip of the chandelier or any scope which may dehydrate the tissue. We use LED chip which delivers maximum lumens on just 3.3 v/LED resulting in very low temperature at the source as well as on the tip of chandelier or scope minimizing the risk of damage from heating and tissue dehydration.

Harmful rays:

Xenon and halogen light source release IR and UV rays which are very harmful. Lens and filters are applied for reducing the risk for harmful rays. Our LED light chip does not emit any UV or IR rays.

Life span:

Life span of bulb for halogen or xenon is about 400-500 hours. So the bulbs are to be replaced every six months. Secondly xenon bulbs take 10 minutes to get heat up to deliver proper lumens and with time the delivery of lumen decreases as the life of the bulb comes to end. LED has a life span more than xenon. So no need to replace the bulb and over the period of time lumen delivery remains the same without any change or decrease.
